Posted September 10, 2018 09:25:33NFL players have been known to wear wood-framed dressers since at least the 1960s, when the football team at the University of Minnesota adopted the wood-frame design as its standard dresser.
Wood-framing is also popular among soccer and baseball players, among fashion designers, and even in the entertainment industry.
But while the NFL has been in a rush to adopt wood-studded dresser furniture, it has not been the only sport that has adopted the trend.
The Los Angeles Lakers wore a wooden stair step for the first time in 1967.
In 2018, the Philadelphia Eagles, New York Giants and Washington Redskins also used wood-trimmed chairs to play during the preseason.
The Dallas Cowboys and Houston Texans also used wooden step-stools during the first four weeks of the season.
The San Francisco 49ers and Tampa Bay Buccaneers also wore wooden step stools during their 2017 regular season opener.
The NFL, however, is not the only major professional sports league that has embraced wood-based dressers.
The Washington Redskins have a wooden step stool as its official football throne.
The San Francisco Giants have a wood-backed chair for their bench that they also use for meetings.
And the Dallas Cowboys have a walk-up table that is used for their team-wide meetings.
The Chicago Bears, Atlanta Falcons, Seattle Seahawks, Detroit Lions, Cleveland Browns and Pittsburgh Steelers also all have wood-driven walk-ups.
The Minnesota Vikings, Oakland Raiders, Buffalo Bills, Tennessee Titans, Indianapolis Colts and Houston Oilers also use wood-made step stumps during their home games.
